Five for Fraturday and an ESGI Giveaway!

Better late than never...

School starts Tuesday.  Where exactly did summer go?  It's been a great, but very busy, summer.  The end of summer marks something crazy for me as a mother though... Both of my babies will be in school this year.  Claire started preschool last week.  She got a great report, and she looked adorable on her first day.

There are no words... :(

Her sweet teacher has taught both of my babies now.  I babysat her kiddos in high school when they were Porter and Claire's ages.  It's funny how things come full circle!

She was so over picture taking.  Can you see why I'm a tad concerned about her going to preschool?  :)

Porter starts kindergarten on Tuesday, so I'm sure next week's Five for Friday post will include some precious images of him on his first day!

The week before school starts, my district hosts kindergarteners to come for a week of Jump Start.  The program gives students the chance to get used to coming to school before the actual start of school.  It's a great program, and quite a few of our students were able to attend.

We GoNoodled... Enough said.

We read my favorite, The Day the Crayons Quit.

We hosted a kindergarten open house Thursday night.  I got to meet quite a few of my 17 new kindergarteners, and having it before school starts helped me get myself in gear as far as my classroom goes!  I didn't have to do as much this summer since I painted last summer, but I did revamp my back to school bulletin board.  I love this cuteness.

Meeting the parents is always fun, too.  I've had many of these kiddo's older brothers and sisters, so it's more like a friend reunion that meeting new parents. :)

Do you GoNoodle?

We do, and we LOVE it!  This week, I was featured as a guest blogger on the GoNoodle blog.  You can check it out here.

Earlier this week, I blogged about my love for ESGI.  I'm giving away a full year subscription to ESGI!  There is still time to enter the giveaway.  Don't miss out on a chance to get this amazing program for your classroom!

  1. I am a new follower due to the promo on the ESGI facebook page. Good luck in your upcoming year. I love the idea of a transition week....do you have any blog posts about that idea and how it works?
